Join in the fun this coming Friday evening as we officially Meet the Hornets. The gym will be alive with football players, volleyball players, coaches, cheerleaders and Stingerettes. After the big pep rally, which starts at 7:00 PM, there will be a junior high dance in the cafeteria until 10:30 PM. Parents, please be sure to fill out the necessary permission form with complete information about phone numbers and arrangements to leave with a friend. It will be a fun evening for all!
Good luck to our junior high students running for Student Council this week. Campaigns get under way today and will conclude with speeches on Friday morning. Students, remember to register to vote through Mrs. Holle’s office.
Our Parent Organization invites new parents to our Meet and Greet coffee this Friday morning at 7:45 AM in the cafeteria. After dropping the children off in their classroom, stop by and put some names and faces together. We welcome you to our St. Ambrose family!
Next week Parker Uniform order forms will be going home. You may order your fall/winter outerwear at that time. It may not feel like it now, but we will eventually have those days of cool weather, so be sure to place an order. Samples of sizes will be in the office in September.
Parents, we will be wearing our dress uniform for Mass again this Wednesday. Please help us enforce uniform policy by reading the handbook concerning dress shoes. And, girls, remember to follow the hem guidelines for your skirts.
The first Friday of each month is Free Dress for the students. Please remember that NO shorts may be worn by girls or boys on Free Dress days. Jeans should be free of holes and all pants should be worn at the natural waist level. Capri pants/leggings for girls must be no higher than the middle of the calf. No flip-flops are allowed. If a student has PE on Friday, they will dress out as usual. A student may always choose to wear their casual uniform in place of free dress. Thank you for adhering to the guidelines noted on page 23 of the Parent/Student Handbook.
Eighth grade parents, high school visitations have already been scheduled. I promise you this last year at St. Ambrose seems to fly by! We will hold a Parent Meeting on Thursday, September 10th at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria. We will have numerous hand-outs for you to help guide you through this busy year.
Thanks for all you do and have a great week!
